How often have you heard the words "show" don't "tell".

I have. Often enough to make my ears bleed, it seems.

What do you do when the use of the passive voice seems to be integral to your style of writing? If you try and artificially change the way you write, then is it yours anymore?

The use of passive voice is something that pervades my writing apparently. I'm on a mission to determine whether I can indeed change this whilst preserving what I feel is my particular style of writing.
